Engineer didnt really know how to mix. Especially not current hiphop.The guy spent over an hour just trying to match the tempo of a standard trap hip hop song. Wasting time AND money. Not good Update: After being contacted by the owner, Rick, I had to come back to my review. Rick was intent on making things right after hearing about my experience. He offered to have o w of his more experienced engineers remix rhe track. It took us awhile to link, but the new mix was much better. I really appreciate the customer service. This is how a small business should be run

Affordable and flexible, hands down one of the best live recording studios in Chicago year after year, with great in-house engineers, acoustically treated live and control rooms, "perma-vibe", an infinitely fascinating combination of vintage and new gear combined to achieve a sonic difference you will hear and feel in your art. Rax Trax Recording is neatly tucked in center of Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood and is the real deal for recording, mixing, mastering, and whatever else comes to mind sonically (or visually!).
