I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the easiest client to record. I have my own peculiarities and idiosyncrasies about me. So I've run into some difficulties in the recording studio. But the folks at Horse-Drawn customized my experience perfectly and expertly. Very pleasant personalities, very casual atmosphere. I never felt rushed, and, importantly, I never felt dumb or overwhelmed. (Even when I was dumb and overwhelmed.) They have all the microphones and instruments that I need, they have the best compressors and preamps I've ever heard, and an absolutely stunning collection of digital software and samples. The place is a hybrid laboratory/amusement park for producers, songwriters and musicians. I wish I could give them 6 stars out of 5.
