Jimmy played at the reception following my mother's memorial service in Mansfield, Ohio. She had long had a specific request for her funeral / memorial -- she wanted someone to play a brass version of "When the Saints Go Marching In." Not only did Jimmy start and finish his performance with this, but he had asked about my mother's favorite music and spent the week before the event listening to one of her favorite albums and putting together a perfect playlist. She would have loved his performance (trumpet, keyboard, and singing). The reception was held in a relatively small space and he kept the volume just right.
