When we wanted to make our first album, Brent Alan was just the right producer and sound engineer for Cross Current. His professionalism allowed him to quickly become part of the team making our record. He has an unerring feel for what works and what doesn't, and has a way of letting you know in a way that makes it all fun and good. The studio has all the right gear to make the record. Brent has the ability to quickly mix tracks to get the best result. Brent has a wide variety of talent he can pull from to add to any recording, or as an amazing multi-instrumentalist, he can also provide backup himself. Working with Brent was an amazing creative experience for me. It's not the first time I've tried to record a CD, but I've had so many negative experiences that I was reluctant to enter a studio again. Brent listened very carefully to what I had in mind, he discussed every song with me, provided me with recordings along the way, made suggestions of musicians to add, and really is responsible for the gorgeous recording that is the end result. I sang and played acoustic guitar on the recording, performing original songs. Additional instruments included a dobro, fiddle, cello, drums, percussion, and piano, as well as other vocalists.
