Hands down the best music shop in Salem/Keizer. Grew up in Salem and bought most of my first instruments here as a kid. Recently moved back town, and I’m glad to see their customer service is still top notch almost 20 years later. I recently had two acoustic guitars setup here and they both play better than ever. Got electronics installed in one of them. They walked me through all the options and explained everything very well with extremely patience and humility. Fair warning, it was busy both times I went- but for good reason. And the service is well worth the wait.

These guys make supporting local easy! Every time I walk into Uptown music it’s a great experience. The staff are friendly and the owner Paul is an amazing guy. The last guitar I purchased from them was a wonderfully used Godin electric. The setup was done very well and the tech Jeff was able to match it to my playing style perfectly.

I recently had my first experience with Uptown Music purely by chance. It was a most excellent. Everyone I dealt with was great. In particular I want to say a big thank-you to Izzy Hudson. He really went above-and-beyond the call of duty tracking down an obscure piece of equipment that it turns out Roland never put into production. Uptown Music doesn’t carry that particular item – in fact nobody else does either. But Izzy managed to locate a prototype for me. I’m very grateful and impressed by how he followed through and made it happen. AA+. I look forward to working with them in the future. Give the man a raise!
