★ 5 · Von de Leigh WilbanksI was so happy that Mr.Aston had room for my two kids. He has created a studio staffed with creative, skilled and motivated musicians. This overflows to the students and they get creative and excited to learn and grow. I’m especially appreciative that this studio can teach both sight reading and by ear, but most importantly combining the fundamental elements of music theory throughout. I love the studio’s expansion using the band app, as well as doing recitals and learning challenges throughout the year. Mr. Aston has created something pretty awesome for kids learning to play a musical instrument!!

★ 5 · YessicaI definitely recommend Sounds Before Sight Studios! They’re flexible with location and scheduling, and my kids have a great time with their music teacher. The teacher is so patient, encouraging, and really helps them believe they can do it. It’s our second year with them. My kids have learned so much already! It’s very professional yet still feels family-friendly and welcoming, which I really appreciate. I almost signed my kids up somewhere else, but it just didn’t feel right or align with our values. Sounds Before Sight Studios does and I’m so glad we chose them!

★ 5 · Khanh NguyenMy two children have been taking piano lessons with Josiah for nearly three years. I greatly appreciate his work. He is punctual, patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. His “sound before sight” teaching approach is a good match for my family. My children have been improving their skills steadily over time. What is more important to me, however, is that they stay engaged with music. -How the “Sound” part works for us: After the first few lessons, my children were asked to choose the songs they wanted to play and were guided to play them in their unique ways, instead of having to follow strict music sheets. My children enjoyed that freedom, and practice time was less stressful than I had imagined, because they were making the tunes they liked. After a student could play a piece well, Josi
