Globalsound Studio literally and figuratively rocks! Our 10-year-old son has been taking weekly drum lessons here for about a year and a half, and the growth we’ve seen in both his skills and confidence has been amazing. His instructor, Matt, is a huge part of that. He’s fantastic. He's patient, focused, incredibly skilled, and always upbeat. Every lesson strikes the perfect balance of fun, challenge, and learning, which gets our son excited to keep improving. The school itself is very well run. Mateo, the owner, has built a program that’s organized and professional while still being enjoyable and encouraging for kids. One of our favorite parts are the quarterly performances. My daughter took voice lessons at this school for a little over a year. While we did notice some initial improvement early on, her vocal development ultimately plateaued and did not progress as we had hoped over time. One challenge was a lack of flexibility in song selection, which was frustrating for my daughter and limited her engagement. Additionally, there was little instruction on vocal health or proper technique to protect the vocal cords—topics that had been emphasized by other instructors she has worked with previously. When she struggled with certain notes or techniques, alternative approaches or exercises were not offered, and the lesson would simply move on, which we found disappointing. Both my sons attend Globalsound studio for both private lessons and for their Music Academy. The instructors are enthusiastic and great with kids. My kids really look up to their instructors. My oldest son (12) takes bass and drum lessons with Mateo. He has been with him for almost 3 years. Mateo has been an excellent role model and very encouraging. My youngest son (9) takes both keys from Marisa and electric guitar with Matt. He has also shown significant improvement with these instructors and really enjoys his lessons. They have both really progressed as a musicians and have developed a real passion for music.
