★ 5 · Benjamin SandaI came to Kim in my 40's as an adult student looking to get back into playing my flute again and she was wonderful. I had started playing with a local community band the year prior, but hadn't seriously played for almost 20 years. I was very self-conscience of my playing and wanted to get back to being able to play confidently and well again. I had started looking for a flute teacher and Kim was recommended by a co-worker who also took lessons with her and so I reached out. ★ 5 · Christine CheungKim is the most amazing flute teacher! She makes learning flute so much fun. Not only does she teach private lessons, she has all of her students work on ensemble pieces, participate in group classes and give presentations on different musical topics. My daughter has grown so much as a musician under Kim's teaching. In addition, Kim also coaches our family flute/cello/piano trio. She is an incredibly talented coach and really helped our family learn to play and perform together, which is a gift I will be forever grateful for.

★ 5 · Heidi MayerAlthough I am a collaborative pianist and teacher, I have performed in many of Kim's students' lessons and recitals. Kim, herself, is a professional, highly accomplished flutist, who regularly performs around the Chicago area. Her sound is lustrous, and her abilities are virtuosic. As a teacher, Kim is innovative and creative. She is able to convey flute techniques with perfect metaphors, designs inspirational goals for her students, presents clever, themed recitals, and trains her students to perform and present themselves professionally. She is gentle, humorous, and holistic in her teaching. Her students trust her completely, become enamored with the flute, and play with true love of their instrument.
