if you’re not sure what to expect it’s in the name and that’s exactly what it was… Strategically placed blankets, acoustic sound panels, etc. So now I know where the name came from. Attention to detail on mic placement told me that what comes out of the back end is going to be amazing and it was just that. It was a very welcoming environment. It’s definitely not one of those big studios with tons of overhead, where you can feel your wallet shrinking every minute that clicks by, you feel comfortable and at ease. The best part was going into the control room sitting down next to the sound engineer at the console. His mixing methods along with the vast amount of knowledge he has is definitely part driving force, and part icing on the cake when it came to the final mix. Pricing for the proj

Working and recording with Mickey at blanketfort is the 3rd recording experience I’ve had. Our band is finishing up our first album with him and it has felt like such a massively more in depth experience than the prior ones. He puts a lot of love and attention to the songs and pushes the song to be great. It’s a really relaxing recording environment and also very immersive and detail oriented. 10.1/10 would recommend
