Welterweight Sound Studio

After self-recording a past release we wanted to work with someone outside our group and finish recording our second EP at a professional studio with someone who could help develop and fill out the production of the basic tracks. At Welterweight we got that and so much more. The space is really comfortable with lots of light and plenty of awesome instruments and other fun gear that we were able to utilize and add some great textures to the recordings. The location, the property, and the way the studio and house are set up really facilitated an ideal mix of relaxation and focus. In addition to being extremely skilled at recording Ryan was a real pleasure to work with. He brought a lot of great ideas and suggestions to the table and was excellent at presenting options, opinions, and helping

Recording at Welterweight exceeded all expectations. Ryan has a great ear, good energy and patience. We were really happy with how our band's recording turned out! We stayed in the house which is on the property with the studio, and it was really relaxing. Could not recommend this studio more!

I have recorded multiple albums at Welterweight Sound Studio and love it dearly. It is a beautiful and inspiring space, inside and out. Inside, the studio is outfitted thoughtfully and thoroughly, with a gorgeous piano, and a vast selection of amps, preamps, keyboards, synths, and fun acoustic ephemera. Whatever kind of music you make, you can create your world here. Outside, there is space to walk and think and swim and recenter. Ryan is a joyful and supportive host and creative partner. And there’s even a sweet studio pup, Marcy.
