This is a great place to learn piano! Our 4 year old has taken lessons with both Joel and Bianca, and really enjoys both teachers. They are patient, encouraging and kind. I was hesitant at first because 4 is very young for sitting and learning, but they also use a lot of games to teach piano skills. Games vary widely- from keystrokes at the piano, to using flyswatters to listen and slap cards, to matching card games on the floor or bean bags, my daughter loves to play and learn. I *highly* recommend The Peterson Studio to any child curious about music. They currently offer a first class for free, which is a great chance to meet the teachers and decide if your child is ready or not.

I have three children from 27 to 8 years old all three have had piano instruction. The Peterson Studio is by far the best studio that I have been involved with. Maria Peterson is accomplished, talented, organized and kind. She has patience and makes the lesson fun and interesting! I think I am very lucky to have such a gifted and wonderful instructor teaching my child and my daughter is fortunate to be a student of The Peterson Studio. My daughter looks forward to her lesson and Maria every week! Alison H.

Maria and her team are awesome. The studio is welcoming to all levels, and it’s a relaxing and friendly atmosphere in which to learn. I have really enjoyed my first 6 months of learning piano with Joel, he’s thoughtfully combined required learning material with supplemental content of interest to me.
