I've now attended two sessions at Gatos Trail. Recording studios come in many flavors but you really can't beat the Joshua Tree vibe at this studio. Yes, their console and live room sound great. Yes, they have a nice compliment of analog gear. But the real magic is how committed Dan and his staff are to ensuring an amazing experience for the artist!

Gatos Trail really is a special place to record. From the location, the studio and accommodation you can't ask for more. We spent a week recording with Dan out in Joshua Tree and threw all sorts of crazy recording ideas and setups at him which he handled flawlessly, all with great humor and professionalism. The location inspires creativity and to sit and star gaze (with a glass of vino) at the end of the evening is magical. The onsite accommodation also is wonderful and to be able to walk from the studio to make lunch/dinner/cocktails makes the experience so effortless you just want to move in. Sorry Dan, you're moving out! 🤣 We are thrilled with the results and it was one of the best and unique recording experiences we've ever had. Book with confidence!

I had an amazing time at the Trail Blazers master class with Joe Chiccarelli at Gatos Trail Studio. Joe was a super down to earth person and really showed his passion in his work flow. It was a great experience witnessing the preproduction, recording process, production, mixing and listening to Joe’s expertise. Every question was answered with detailed description. The classmates also great people and very knowledgeable. We ate breakfast lunch and dinner together. The food was delicious and catered to those who had any allergies. The hotel was nice, quiet, spacious and close to the studio. The host and owner’s Dan and Zoe were amazing, sweet and very hospitable. It felt like family. I’m excited for the next one.
