I took private violin lessons with Marianna for about 5 years while I played in middle school and high school orchestra. Her ability as an instructor helped me to gain the skill and confidence I needed to perform at a high level in both the school orchestra and as a soloist at NYSSMA. This is by far the best music studio on the island! I have taken my daughter to many music studios across the island, and this is the absolute best. Marianna's Music Studio in Ronkonkoma is the most professional, personable, and the most reasonable. I tried other schools that were lower in cost, but it reflected in the quality as well. Marianna herself is a very dedicated professional, and true lover of teaching music to her students. If you are a parent searching for the best experience for your child, this is truly it. I took voice lessons with Marianna for two years before moving away to go to college to study theatre. The role she played in helping me prepare for auditions with both songs and monologues integral; I could not have done it without her. Her approach to singing is very logical. She holds the belief that anyone can learn how to sing which makes her studio a happy, warm environment where students can grow and progress on their own time. Because of what Broadway is today many students want to learn how to belt right off the bat. But, my first few months of lessons we focused on classical singing in order to strengthen my breathing and overall technique.
