Melanie has been teaching my now 9 year old son piano since early 2020 and his progress has been amazing! She knows kids so well and creates the interest he now has each and every week. We have been doing classes digitally since the pandemic started and Melanie could even teach by ear which was very impressive. We continue to have digital classes now and the progress is still amazing. I highly recommend Melanie!

Melanie is teaching all three of my children piano, and has been for 5+ years. Melanie has tailored her lessons to match each of my kids - their styles, preferences, and goals. Playful games and gentle learning for my youngest; composition and contemporary songs for my middle; challenging and more dramatic pieces for my oldest. I have watched as a love of music has been nurtured, as skills are honed and confidence grows. When we moved out of state from Melanie, we continued lessons virtually with her. And it’s worked beautifully! Convenient for us, and effective for learning. Melanie’s teaching talent translates seamlessly through screens! We are so grateful for all the joy and music Melanie Young’s Studio has given us. 5 stars - highly recommend!
