I had the pleasure of working with Andy Clarke at Retro City Studios as a drummer recording a 4 song EP with my band this week. The studio is beautiful. Built to purpose. Full of well cared for vintage equipment set up along side state-of-the-art gear. It all runs like clockwork, brought to life by the audio engineering expert who planned it. You know the feeling of reassurance you get when you see someone who holds your project in their hands—doing the thing they love, exceptionally well? Making an endlessly complex, subjective thing seem effortless, and straightforward? This is the experience I had working with Andy. Such a beautiful space to spend a few days recoding. They have all top notch gear and good snacks too. Jake was very knowledgeable and helped us a lot during our session. We couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

Lovely space with a relaxed vibe and an impressive gear list. Andy is a joy to work with and a great engineer to have at the helm of any project. He immediately understood what we were going for, captured it beautifully, and was super efficient in delivering the files for a seamless transition from tracking to mixing. Whenever I need to record something outside my home studio, Retro City is now my go-to spot.
