★ 5 · Brian SarchiThomas is an absolutely wonderful piano teacher and we are so grateful we found him. He has been teaching my 16-year-old son for some time now, and the results have been fantastic. He goes far beyond just teaching how to play the piano or read sheet music. Thomas has a remarkable ability to keep a teenager not just engaged, but genuinely excited about the full scope of music education. He feeds my son's natural curiosity and makes complex subjects like music theory interesting and accessible. It's rare to find an instructor who connects so well with students and fosters such a deep, well-rounded appreciation for music. If you are looking for a dedicated, talented, and inspiring piano teacher, Thomas is an excellent choice!

I bought a nice digital piano and then… pain. I tried going the self‑teaching route for a while as I searched for a teacher. Of course, I fell into the same pitfalls most self‑learners do — wandering down the wrong path, realizing it, turning around, and heading down another wrong path. A few months later, I met with Thomas for a first meet/consultation. It was great. He sat down with me, asked about my goals, looked at the pieces I hoped to learn “someday,” and even pointed out that I might really enjoy a particular style of music. I left that meeting with a clear sense of how

★ 5 · Rachel WellsWe are so happy to have found Thomas. My daughter had two years of lessons with another instructor and she hated the lessons and practicing. We were at the point of considering quitting when we found Effinger Music. Thomas is so enthusiastic and he appreciates my daughter's quirks and idiosyncrasies rather than seeing them as an impediment. She is much more willing to practice and the lessons have a fun and collaborative feeling. Thanks Thomas for bringing the joy back to music for my kiddo.
