★ 5 · Buck BucknerUltrasound in La is a dream come true, I found a true creative haven in this little eclectic studio. The gear here spans the spectrum—pianos, synths, drums, strings—yet what makes it special isn’t just the collection, it’s the vibe: welcoming, warm, and instantly home-y. The owner is incredibly generous and always ready to roll up his sleeves to help you shape a nuanced idea into a finished track. There’s no clock-watching; he’s genuinely invested in helping you complete a masterpiece, and you can feel that energy in every session. The space invites experimentation without pressure, and the atmosphere fosters collaboration as much as focus. For any musician in LA seeking accessible, high-quality gear paired with real support and hospitality, this studio is a rare gem.

★ 5 · Richard EFirst off, Ultrasound is the best looking studio I've ever seen! A wonderful Bohemian oasis in the middle of Downtown Los Angeles. It immediately fosters a feeling of creativity. Secondly the owner, Stefan, is a wonderful host and engineer/producer. Full of interesting ideas and suggestions. The main mixing desk has solid rock and roll history, originally located in New York, where it was used to record early Ramones and Blondie albums among many others. A guaranteed great experience if you choose to record here.

The equipment is top notch and the production I have experienced working there is what keeps me coming back for future projects. The layout caters to every aspect of the recording process, be it live drums , guitars or vocals and the control room is state of the art with everything you need to make your masterpiece. I would and will continue to recommend this studio for recording your singles, albums and ep's if you want to make a difference in your sound and experience a truly professional work/creative space.
