★ 5 · Alexa ConnollyMy daughter (age 6) and I have been violin students of Eliza for the past year. I began playing the violin over 35 years ago, and obtained a degree in music education. Despite this, my ability to play the violin had always been mediocre with a distinct lack of technique or understanding of music theory in relation to the violin. Since working with Eliza, my technique has increased tenfold. She explains everything so well and seems to know exactly what to say to help me grasp the subtleties present in many of the more difficult techniques. My knowledge of music theory has also dramatically improved as I find myself learning how truly unique the violin is as an instrument. I am constantly amazed at all of her knowledge and skill as a teacher. I love my lessons with Eliza, and always leave

★ 5 · Leslie FantasticEliza is a gifted, patient, and encouraging teacher. I am a terrible violin student and probably worse performer yet Eliza always has kind words to say to me. I have a lot of performance anxiety and I would flip flop on whether I could ever do this or that. She NEVER pressured me and eventually with her duress-less approach I got up there and did the best I could. I even invited a friend!! I am very proud of myself and feel much more inspired to keep playing.

★ 5 · Katy DeShawI've been taking violin lessons as an adult beginner with Eliza for 2 years and can't recommend her enough. My 7 year old has recently started taking lessons with her as well and she is great with kids and adults! Through her I've been able to explore different styles of music such as classical, jazz, fiddle, and had the opportunity to do a group fiddle class. Eliza is a patient and knowledgeable instructor and does an excellent job at teaching music theory and technique for all levels of understanding.
