My daughter has been taking violin lessons with Jo for 2 years. I can’t say enough about how great a teacher Jo is. She is patient, and has a way of teaching that makes it fun for the kids. Over the past two years we have used a combination of in-person and virtual lessons and that has worked great for us! I have been impressed with how much my daughters violin skills have improved over the past two years. I would highly recommend Jo!

Jo is a great teacher. My daughters have been learning music (violin and piano) with Jo for the last 3 years. They are both progressing very nicely with their instruments. Jo has a great relationship with both girls and they often share with me stories about Jo's service in the military and other fun stories. Jo is not only a great music teacher, she is also a great mentor. At her new location, Jo has snacks, hot chocolate, and water for her students who sometimes go to lessons straight from school and might be hungry 🙂. Overall, Jo and Rubato studio are just great.

I have been taking lessons with Jo for about 8 years, I started in 3rd grade. Jo is a wonderful teacher and is very good at working with young kids. She not only teaches students how to play their instruments, she also teaches about music theory and it’s history. She is great at making students feel comfortable and confident as they learn.
