★ 5 · Malik BushI love this place. It cozy there's not a bad seat in the place and the sound is fantastic. It feels like you're in the front row wherever you're sitting in the venue. There are some posts that obstruct a bit but the sound is so incredible that you will forget they're there.

★ 5 · SuzDurkHearing live music is good for your soul. This place offers an intimate space where musicians can be close to their audience. There isn't anything fancy here. Just a house piano, upright base and five-piece drum set. No raised stage. Low ceilings--in in the basement--so don't expect to get any cell phone reception. All the better to enjoy your jazz uninterrupted. Usual cover charge is $10, reduced to $5 for students. All proceeds benefit keep jazz going in the Twin Cities. The door can be had to locate. It's right around the corner from Whitey's and across the street from Aveda. Parking might be tricky--take the 10, 4 or 6 bus.
