Megan has been an amazing violin teacher for my daughter. She started her out with a foundation of proper posture and physical technique and she has helped her work her way through all the necessary foundational skills for her to be successful. She is kind, warm, patient and knowledgeable. She is a very talented violinist and has been a wonderful teacher! I highly recommend her for violin students of any skill level.

We love Megan! My 10yo has weekly violin lessons at her house, which is easy to find and a comfortable, clean space. My daughter is shy, especially with adults, but warmed to Megan right away. She went from absolute beginner in September to performing a simple solo at the Christmas recital, and is now practicing (with siblings as her accompaniment) to do 2 songs in the spring recital. Very empowering. Megan is professional, plays beautifully, and has a gift for pointing out the positives while still teaching where improvement is needed. She also encourages daily practice with kindness and humor rather than pressure or criticism.

Every summer I like to choose something to study that I’ve always been interested in learning. A couple of summers ago I studied violin with Megan because I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the violin and I’d heard great things about Megan as a teacher. It was all true. Megan was very patient and showed me all the proper techniques. I was even figuring out songs on my own after a couple months while practicing at home. I wish I would have had less going on in my life after that summer because I would have loved continuing the lessons. Megan is a phenomenal musician and teacher. I’d recommend her to anyone of any age.
