Art City Music Academy had the kind of name that made you sit up straighter just hearing it. Art City. Like a place where everyone drank sparkling water and said things like “pedagogy”. For two full years, I paid them enough money to buy a used 2012 Toyota corolla, and in exchange I got three kids taking piano lessons and one steady feeling: that I was an inconvenience in my own children’s education. I’m not one of those parents who thinks they’re secretly the teacher. But parents know their children the way teachers can’t. I've been waiting to try out Art City Music for my kid's piano class for years but couldn't because in their recommended group class, I also have to be in attendance and am unable to do so (and because it's expensive). Well, I finally decided to just do the private lessons and make it work financially. I didn't really like the way the company was organized but everyone talks so highly about them so I thought I'd just give it a real shot. There were a lot of fine print documents to sign, which is fine but in there I didn't realize that you have to give 24 hr notice if you can't show up to class. My kids woke up sick one morning and we couldn't make it so I let them know within five minutes of their opening hours but because it wasn't 24 hrs notice, we didn't get to use one of the make up cl

We have loved being a part of the Art City Music Academy! Our sons have enjoyed the classes and working with amazing teachers like Ms. Joanna, Ms. Jenn & Yvonne. They have been so kind and patient with their classes and each student. Since starting at the academy earlier this year we are amazed at the progress our boys have made & they’ve come to enjoy practicing on their own at home. The teacher’s enthusiasm, understanding & love of music shines as they teach our children. We just love the program and people at Art City Music Academy and recommend them to everyone!
