My brother who is a special needs adult takes lessons with Gary through Musicspeak, and it’s been a fantastic experience for him! Gary meets my brother where he’s at, tailoring his lessons to my brother’s interests (in this case, playing the drums on every song the Beatles have ever recorded). Gary has also been a great resource, offering advice and guidance when I needed to replace and repair parts of a drum kit that I had no idea about. It’s been a great experience!

Gary rules! I plateaued with drums a long time ago but I am seeing a much steeper learning curve after just a few months of his lessons. He has a great format, curriculum, and approach to teaching. He is full of wisdom, and he makes it fun and comfortable, yet challenging and motivating.

Gary is a top notch instructor, and I do not hesitate to recommend him to anyone seeking music lessons. He keeps lessons fun and engaging, working with your own musical tastes as well as helping you to expand your horizons into other music you may not have listened to in the past. He has also encouraged me to write a couple of my own songs, as well as record and mix them. That's not something I ever thought I would do, and especially not when I've only been taking lessons for about 2 years. I encourage anyone looking for music lessons to get in touch with Gary.
