★ 5 · Anita JThis is a review for the bar. This is a very delayed review as I visited over the summer. Our party of 4 visited on an early Saturday evening and was able to be seated right away. The vibe is very much dark and moody. They were setting up for what looked like a guest DJ of sorts? Once the DJ started their music, it was VERY loud which was a little disappointing. We didn't try any of the food. We did try some of the cocktails though and they were all great. Also tried the paper bag beer because we couldn't resist the mystery. The beers were 16oz cans of craft beers. not bad! Overall, really liked the place!

★ 5 · Luis LunaThis place is a hidden gem. The bar is below the street- feels like you’re walking into a secret place. Really fun to surprise a friend or bring a date. I often go there to listen to vinyl (they always have a rotating ensemble of fun DJs) and get a cocktail. Once in a while I get their food which I really recommend- I love their vegetarian shawarma. Get it!

★ 2 · RemiI’ve liked Firehouse 12 in the past, so this was disappointing. The server behind the bar was drinking and didn’t seem attentive. We ordered the cheese board, which turned out to be entirely vegan nut-based cheese, but the menu didn’t mention that. That’s important both for expectations and allergies, and when I asked about it, the concern was brushed off. After we left, we noticed a 20% automatic gratuity for “parties of 7+” had been added, even though we were only four. I tipped again without realizing because of how it appeared on the receipt. We ended up walking back in the rain to fix it. The manager did remove the surcharge, which I appreciated. Between the unclear menu labeling, the service, and the incorrect gratuity, the experience didn’t match the quality I’ve known this place
