This is a diamond in our community for young people. I fully support keeping this program in Meriden aa long as we can. My kids went there when they were younger and I know many other adults who found Beat the Street when there was little else affordable that offered high quality health and fitness programming for kids and teens. I really think we should advocate more of our young girls to take an interest in boxing and fitness. No one can protect a young women as well as she has the potential to protect herself.

Signed my kids up today. I went here when i was (2002) 14 to 25. I used to box and teach dance. He still has all my trophies and banners up from the dance competition. SUPER HAPPY TO SEE ALL THE PROGRAMS PLUS MORE STILL RUNNING. Now, I have my kids going, and it felt so nostalgic!!! This place is worth going to. The whole family is back in BOXING!!!

★ 5 · Dakota Hall

I live in Florida now I'm 18 years old my name is Dakota Hall I used to go to beat the street all the time as a kid it taught me so much and helped me especially learn how to be the man of the house in my household. Both Carlos's taught me so much and were like family friends to me and my family. This place has such a special place in my heart if I could ever go back to visit I will. Now I teach the kids around my neighborhood how to box and teach them some of that wisdom I was given from this place. Thanks to all the memories, thanks to the teachers, thanks to the entire community. The events they put for Christmas and stuff and just everything they did was all just amazing. Much love.
