I had Lauren as my violin teacher for more or less three years of high school, and my time with her was incredibly transformative for both my skill and portfolio. The teacher I had prior to her meant well but was really disorganized, and the most I ever finished with her was one movement of the Bach double violin concerto. Entering high school, I really needed a complete repertoire of pieces, and Lauren was very helpful in helping me build one. She was both nice and made lessons enjoyable but also kept me disciplined and focused. Lauren gave the right amount of criticism that would help me improve but was also very supportive. I have been taking violin lessons from Lauren for over a year. As an adult, trying to learn an instrument can be very challenging. Lauren breaks everything down into steps and helps me achieve my goals. She is always very cheerful, flexible and professional and helps me overcome my frustrations. She also is great about sending helpful videos or recordings in between lessons to help when I can't figure something out. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to learn as an adult or child.

Lauren is absolutely amazing, a professional pianist and violinist with a sensitivity like no other! I was looking for a piano teacher a couple months before my wedding because I really wanted to surprise my husband with a song as a vow (Have I told you Lately by Rod Stuart). I had taken lessons when I was younger but it had been 18 years since then and I didn't remember much (even how to read the notes correctly). She knew it would be a bit of a challenge with the dead line but she found the perfect version of the song for me to learn. After a couple months of practice for me, and patient teaching from her, I managed to play at the wedding and it felt amazing! Today I still play for fun and am sooooo happy I met Lauren as she made me feel I could do anything I put my mind to. Thank you!
