★ 5 · Sara HannaDownright is a fantastic place for musicians young and old to get lessons or join a group to jam with. My young musician only knew his classical instrument and now enjoys playing guitar and singing. Kudos to Andrew and downright for creating an atmosphere where kids are willing to try new things and take risks musically. Go join a jam band or take some lessons. You won’t regret it!

★ 5 · Jeffrey GoldbergIf I could give Andrew 6 stars I would. I have been taking lessons- both personal and “Jam” classes with him for nearly 20 years. He is patient and effective, kind and knowledgeable. Andrew intuitively knows what level a student is at and has the ability to teach all levels effectively. The environment is supportive and friendly. He teaches you how to be a musician both individually and how to effectively play in a group setting. I went from strumming “cowboy chords” on an acoustic guitar to gigging out with my own band in professional settings. Bravo Andrew and the whole scene at Downright!!!

In these camps, kids from similar age groups and similar music skills are gathered to form a band! The band spends an entire week learning songs (since the camp is Mo
