I'm a court reporter/stenographer who mainly does depositions from home. I suffered an inexplainable computer crash recently where I lost multiple things, the most important being a file for a deposition. All the tech team was able to recover was an MP3 with horrible audio quality. I thought I'd have to tell the attorneys they'd have to redo the deposition, which would not only cost them thousands of dollars, but the deponent would be fully prepped for any questions that they'd ask, plus my reputation of being reliable would be on the line no matter the cause for the crash.
