We hired Derek from DJB Sounds for our June 2025 wedding and he was awesome. From the beginning, he was so fun to work with and brought incredible energy. We honestly didn’t have a ton of specific requests — we basically told him, “Do you.” And wow… he did HIM. He read the room perfectly and created exactly the vibe we were hoping for. Several times, he was in the middle of looping and guests literally went up to interrupt him just to compliment how good he was. That says everything. He didn’t require a lot of direction because he clearly knows what he’s doing. He was professional, self-sufficient, and confident in his setup, which gave us so much peace of mind. We had the absolute BEST experience with Derek as our wedding DJ (and Michael, who was incredible too!). Derek went above and beyond in every way; he spent hours setting up in the rain and didn’t leave the property until 4:30 am, making sure everything was perfect for our big day. The dance floor was absolutely electric, so many of our guests said it was one of the best dance floors they’ve ever been on. Djb really curated the vibe, reading the room perfectly and keeping the energy alive all night long. On top of that, he wowed everyone with his guitar playing, which added such a unique and unforgettable touch. We couldn’t recommend them more highly!

We had Derek as our DJ for our wedding, and I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about him! From start to finish, he was absolutely amazing to work with — professional, positive, and so genuinely passionate about what he does. He’s incredibly talented, and it truly showed in every part of our day. For our ceremony, Derek put together three custom pieces that he played live on his guitar, and they were absolutely beautiful. It was such a special touch and added so much meaning to those moments.
