My son is taking lessons with Josh right now and has taken lessons with Mason! They are both wonderful with kids and so patient with them teaching guitar! I'm impressed with the both of them and so glad I found this place and got my oldest into the lessons.

Our 9 year old Judah isn’t just learning guitar… Recently, Judah began taking guitar lessons with Josh Gillis at Catfish Alley Studios, and to say he LOVES it would be an understatement. Judah is usually pretty hard on himself, but since starting these lessons, he hasn’t shown a single hint of frustration or self-doubt. Instead, he’s been completely pumped to go to every session. On the way home after one of his lessons, he told me, ‘I love music, but I REALLY, REALLY love the guitar. It’s like the best instrument.’ Watching him light up has been an incredible experience. Josh’s approach is something special—he’s encouraging, upbeat, kind, and fun, and he inspires Judah in the best way. Josh and Mason are great guitar teachers and positive role models. They are patient and our son was excited to go to his lesson every week. Every month we could hear improvement when we listened to him practice.
