Been taking lessons for a year now. We've covered 26 different songs, strumming, various picking exercises, how chords are built, and alternate chords with a different 'voice'. Kyle uses a variety of tools such as digital recording studio, various online services for songs and chord charts, and AI to differentiate different instrument melodies playing in the same song. Kyle submits corrections to some services because the same notes can be played elsewhere on the guitar- and he's sure no one would switch their the fingers like that - or the tone is different. Kyle also writes lesson plans and has several methods of increasing people's speed. The only reason I'm not a better guitar player is it's hard for me to find time to practice throughout the week. When we started Mayes County Music nearly 2 years ago, we had no idea what to expect. We knew our son wanted to play the guitar and we were hoping this would be a good program to grow his love of music. We have been amazed that we have gotten so much more than that. Our son has learned so many different songs and technics, along with this he has also learned patience because that is what Kyle gives him. In our son's words, "Kyle takes time with me going through the process, doesn't rush me and treats him like a friend or family member." We are so excited to continue watching our kiddo become a better guitarist and person while he attends Mayes County Music.

Kyle is absolutely amazing at teaching guitar!! Incredible knowledge, skill and patience!! If the scale was 10 stars, I would give 11!! He has been teaching me for several months and has been teaching my 7 year old son for a month or so as well. My son looks forward to his sessions with Kyle because Kyle is so calm, patient and positive with him. When he asked my son what song he wanted to learn, my son told him about a video game. Kyle searched the internet and found the song list for the game but there was no sheet music / tab for the song. So what did Kyle do? He listened to it and created a tab for my son!!! Kyle is amazing and I strongly recommend him and Mayes County Music for anyone who may be starting out with no previous experience / instruction to anyone who has been playing for
