These guys at Music Unlimited and the Music Box in Plymouth (same owner) scratched up my Martin 000-15m acoustic guitar, an instrument that took me years to get. I brought it in for a simple tune up, and got it back with circular scratches all over the headstock from a cheap plastic string winder. After demanding they fix the damage, they finally did. Afterwards the owner had the nerve to ask me to pay for the original tune up. Every time I look at my headstock I’m reminded of the damage these guys did to my $1k+ guitar. The scratches are still visible. I wouldn’t trust these guys with a ten cent harmonica.

Have had work done on my guitars here in the past and currently have one in there now. They are friendly and quick to respond, but certain services are overpriced. By my calculations, they charge about $1000 per hour for pickup installation.

Fantastic experience working with Rick and the crew over at the Music Box. They did a complete set up for my acoustic and did a phenomenal job. Great selection of pedals too! If you’re a gigging musician or just looking for good gear to use at home come check this place out.
