Darren is a great voice teacher. He is very professional and has many years of professional vocal experience to draw from. He taught my daughter voice for approximately 3 years while she was late elementary and middle school. She went on to perform in numerous festivals and contests and became president of her high school choir council. At the end of her senior year received the Student of the Year award from her choir teacher. I know she would not have accomplished so much without Darren's teaching.

I am now a college student at Berklee College of Music, but I received vocal lessons from Darren Friedman for 3-4 years and even in the first month of lessons I noticed a clear, significant improvement in my voice. I truly appreciated how he prioritizes proper and healthy technique when exercising the voice to acheive our own specific goals. He is very knowledgeable and fluent on the specific techniques needed to exercise each different muscle group for a healthy sound. I also always looked forward to every lesson each week because of his warm, exciting and caring personality. He makes every lesson very enjoyable and productive! I would 100% recommend this vocal studio to everyone!

Six lessons in, my immediate thought is that Darren has been supportive and comforting coaching me. Although I have a musical background, I didn't have experience with singing. He does a great job creating a place where you feel safe singing or making mistakes when practicing. He is certain to express when you do something well and helps you notice bad habits and how to break and overcome them. As a teacher, he has a professional background in singing. He teaches proper technique and focuses on a healthy vocal chord in accordance to the style we want to sing. He is very knowledgeable and I am always learning something new about the voice and its capabilites. Would recommend to anyone who wishes to sing leisurely or even professionally.
