Absolutely terrific experience. Shaw Studios is not only extremely affordable, but Steve Shaw is a consistent, quality engineer - and extremely efficient. In a two day period, I was able to record 11 drum tracks, 12 bass tracks, 9 acoustic guitar tracks, 3 piano tracks, 12 vocal takes, pretty much all of which were at least double tracked, not including the plentiful amount of backing vocals, that were sometimes triple and even quadruple tracked. All in a weekend, and super affordable. He also is particularly skilled at making drums sound above and beyond great. 10/10 experience for me.
