Mrs. Duda brings joy and creativity to all her studio lessons. She has an incredible array of music literacy and theory games and challenges that she invented and designed herself - they are colorful, themed and loads of fun for students. My son has studied with Mrs. Duda for the past five years, beginning when we moved to Pittsburgh when he was in 3rd grade. Because she assigns both "fun" music (think epic, video game or film score music) as well as exposing him to some of the more serious stuff, my son continues to adore playing the piano without it ever feeling like a chore. We love Mrs Duda and her studio!! We recommend wholeheartedly!

My sons (now ages 8 and 7) have taken piano lessons with Mrs. Duda for three and two years, respectively. I can’t say enough good things about Mrs. Duda’s approach to teaching the piano. The kids have to work hard at making progress with new songs, but they have fun too. Mrs. Duda sets aside time during each lesson to play some sort of engaging and creative game that improves the kids’ abilities to read music. Do my kids always enjoy practicing? Of course not — the piano challenges them and sometimes they get frustrated when they’re struggling. However, they ALWAYS want to go to their piano lessons. They enjoy their time with Mrs. Duda so much. If your child is interested in learning to play, Mrs. Duda is absolutely the teacher to go with!

What an honor it was to have had Julie Duda teach my granddaughter piano for the past 12 years! With graduation right around the corner, it’s hard to say goodbye. 🥲 From the first time we met, I knew she was the perfect fit! Julie is so kind, very talented herself and knows how to teach. Not just chords but actual music notes. 🎶 She takes the time to get to know each student and what type of music they like. SL has always chosen, with Julie’s advice, beautiful melodies to perform at the recitals. I cannot thank her enough for all that she has poured into SL. ❤️ She is top notch and if you’re lucky enough to get on her waitlist, count yourself blessed. We will miss our weekly jaunts to Bethel Park! But she’ll remain a friend for life! 👋
