We found Carolyn 4 years ago when our son was interested in playing the piano. Now 4 years later he is still taking lessons from her and enjoying music in so many ways. Carolyn is an excellent teacher who really strives to teach her students well. She pays attention to them and helps them learn and grow at the pace they can do best at. I always appreciate how she communicates with us as parents. She has a great studio where she is able to do recitals on an almost monthly basis. That is so helpful for students to learn confidence by playing in front of others and it's so neat for them to be able to hear each other as well. Carolyn encourages at home practice time, theory, memorization of songs, various performances around the area and just an all around genuine love of music. We are so bles

My daughter has been taking tenor sax lessons from Carolyn Englert for about 3 years. Ms. Englert is by far and away the best teacher she ever got to study with. She has high expectations but she also works hard to bring out the best in her students. She seeks what motivates my daughter. She tries hard to get a good balance of encouragement and critiques. She even came to a performance.
