Our two kids love working with Martin. He's passionate about rock and roll and is a patient, reliable, and down-to-earth teacher. He connects well with the kids and helps them enjoy learning music. The combination of private lessons, weekly band jam sessions, and live performances at various venues around town give the kids a unique and powerful way to develop their musical skills.

Martin has a kind and patient way of working with children and my son looks forward to each lesson. This is our introduction to music lessons and and we are enjoying the experience. Fast-forward three years, and our son has played multiple gigs with his band, the Night Owls, led by Martin, including at Wheelworks Niwot, Creek Fest, Niwot Market, and the Trident Booksellers. He has learned bass but continues to play guitar and has gained confidence with vocals. He has become a budding musician—thanks, Martin!

I take guitar lessons at The Gig, and my son takes drum lessons. This is the coolest studio ever! Martin can teach all the rock & roll instruments, and is super cool and great with kids and adults. What sets The Gig apart is that it's not just music lessons. Every student gets the opportunity to play in a group with their peers, like a real rock band, and we play gigs regularly! He teaches in a way that makes it not scary at all, and it's been awesome to practice songs and play them at a gig, and not get stressed or nervous, it's so fun! Alanna does a great job organizing, scheduling, staying on top of the communication, and they are accommodating with the occasional scheduling conflict. If there were 6 stars, I'd give them that!
