★ 5 · Sandy Miranda RobinettI asked some pro audio people around the bay area where I should record the audiobook of my new memoir, Tuning In. They all said I should use Live Oak Studio in the beautiful Berkeley Hills. I am so glad I followed that advice. Patricia Rice, the owner, is wonderful and very encouraging. Audio engineer, coach, and editor James Ward is extraordinary and was with me every step of the way. By the next day, I had master files to review. They were very flexible in scheduling and the environment could not have been more lovely, friendly, and professional. The microphone was top of the line and made me sound like a million bucks! Do not hesitate to record in Live Oak Studio. You will leave with a wonderful result! And, it didn't hurt to know that so many bright lights have recorded there

★ 5 · Norah WoodseyI had a wonderful experience recording the audiobook for my novel, The Control Problem, at Live Oak Studio. Priscilla was easy to communicate with to set up our schedule and payment. She and James, the engineer I worked with, were flexible when a sudden illness in my family required a change in plans. I was very nervous about recording. I have some stage experience, but have never done a studio recorded performance. James was patient with me, and took the time to make sure we recorded the best performance I could deliver. The studio itself is clean and quiet, with no 'shared air' between the performer's space and the engineer's space. This was important to me, personally, especially during the winter when every respiratory illness imaginable was going around. I had no intention of record

★ 5 · Ari LaquidaraI had been researching a place for my dad to record an audio book he was planning as a memoir, and after speaking to Priscilla Rice at Live Oak Recording Studio in Berkeley I knew we were in great hands! They are consummate professionals — punctual, accommodating, and easy to work with. Their studio is an absolutely gorgeous custom-made noise-insulated space in the beautiful Berkeley Hills, and sounds incredible. They have worked with some of the great music artists of the last few decades and are perfectly equipped to help you record music, or create an epic audiobook or podcast. Great experience and highly recommended!
