I needed to do something I’ve always wanted to do so I started looking into adult piano classes. It was hard to find a place that wasn’t mostly for kids, but this adult piano class feels liberating. It removed all the pressure I used to feel around practice and I play consistently now, I feel like before what held me back from playing was not having blank spots in knowledge filled in. There was a tougher day where I got home and just started playing, planning on just a few minutes and then I played for like an hour and a half! I have been telling Chris that I have wanted to learn songs that are more advanced that I have always wanted to learn. Even though I am a beginner he has only encouraged me to play what I am wanting to learn. If you’re looking for a great teacher no matter your leve

As an older adult just starting piano, I had a lot of hesitation—but the website immediately put me at ease. It addressed all the fears I had about beginning later in life, and I thought, “Okay, this feels like the right place.” The first lesson is always the hardest, but it truly wasn’t. It was wonderful. From the start, I felt heard, supported and joyful. Chris is a great listener who meets me exactly where I am. I still remember walking out of that first lesson feeling jubilant—like it was the best day ever. And honestly, I feel that way after every class. Each session brings an energy and mindset shift. For 45 minutes, I get to do something I love, and it’s deeply fulfilling. If you’re an adult thinking about starting piano, I can’t recommend this experience enough.

I was going through the normal routine… going to work, coming home, scrolling TikTok — that routine of not doing anything. I was very unhappy. I needed a drastic change. I needed to do something completely left-field to get out of what I was going through. My personal hesitation with taking piano was: ‘What if I'm not good at it?’ I had a lot of doubt, but I did it and I’m so happy I’m doing it! Instead of avoiding what I’m not perfect at immediately, I’m enjoying imperfection through learning and playing piano. It doesn’t feel overwhelming. You can learn at your own pace. It’s really fun. You play by yourself with headphones at first so it's not intimidating — it’s individualized but also collaborative. It’s helping me focus on myself — on what makes you happy, trying new things, gaini
