This is the best studio I’ve ever worked in! Clean, comfortable, modern yet has classic gear. Stephen Bement knows his gear inside and out and gets great sounds immediately. Most importantly: he feels comfortable telling you the truth - you are not just his paycheck! He will actually say what he really thinks in a way that is palatable which is truly empowering for an artist. If I need to speak up or have an idea - it is welcomed and I’ve never experienced that before in the music industry. It feels like he is on my team and that is priceless. I can’t recommend Vox and Stephen enough!

Steven absolutely has professionalism nailed down. His demeanor, his knowledge, his appearance, and his studio, all exemplify top-notch equipment and skill. I have recorded two drum tracks there and I am extremely happy with the way they turned out.. The Ludwig drum set he has leaves me wanting for nothing and he definitely has an ear for whatever you are going for. The environment is relaxing and a great place to ruminate. I have played drums for 20 years and recorded in various studios in Chicago. I had been to other studios in this area and just simply wasn’t really impressed and thought that maybe there just wasn’t anything in Virginia Beach, but then I found VOX. If you want to be professional, record at VOX!

Stephen is not only an incredible recording and mixing engineer, but his studio space, equipment and experience is unmatched. I’ve been there a few times and always get an incredible result. You will not be disappointed working with him and his team.
