My children have been learning from Susi for the last 6 years, and I have loved seeing them learn from her! She balances excellence with fun, and she really works to meet each child where they are on their piano journey. This ear-training approach has enabled my kids to hear music and pick it out as she coaches them in technique and fingering, without burdening them with reading right away. However, she does slowly introduce music theory/reading as they progress to where they can now read and understand what they are playing but also play it beautifully. We love Susi!

Susi is an exceptional teacher! Her gentle presence, encouragement, and ability to meet each student where they are, set her lessons apart. The methodology and addition of parental involvement enhances her teaching. My daughter has benefited so much through these lessons as a musician and a human. There’s a strong emphasis on technique and ear training - it’s extraordinary the way this focus creates a Montessori-like atmosphere in lessons that encourages creativity and a love of playing! Susi is the best, and students are in excellent hands with her teaching!

Susi is a gifted teacher. I don't say this lightly. She has a way with kids and a passion for music that I have never seen in person before. Watching her teach my daughter and other students is inspiring. She can inspire a child to sit still! She has patience and her very gentle and joyous spirit is admirable. She works hard to accommodate schedules. I would recommend Susi and the Suzuki method without reservation.
