We spent three days with Brian at Frederick Recording Studio in September, for a 6-song project. The time we spent together in the studio, and the subsequent time and care he took to mix and master the tracks, were worth every second and every penny. Brian listened closely to the demos we sent, figured out what we were about, and tailored our experience to produce exactly what we wanted out of it. He made some suggestions (the right suggestions) where they were worth considering, but mostly he locked in on our process, stayed present but unobtrusive, and focused his attention on securing the best performances, the best recordings, and the best mixes possible. A nightmare experience - – Unprofessional, Dishonest, and Exploitative I’m a young independent touring musician from Nashville, and I run my own studio and venue. Never in my life have I experienced such a disaster of a space and scam of a person. We recently played a show at this so-called "full service studio," where they initially tried to charge us $350 for the space. We eventually settled on a deal, which is the only reason we went out of our way to play in Frederick, MD. In our communications leading up to the show, they claimed to be a full-service recording studio, assuring us that they provided everything we needed. Our church has been renting rehearsal space from Brian for a few months, now, and I cannot imagine a better, safer or more comfortable space for our team. Brian greets us at the door with a smile every week, and makes sure we have everything we need. He is knowledgeable, generous, prompt and honest, and we are so happy to call Frederick Recording Studio our worship ministry's home away from home.
