Mike is my son's first guitar teacher and has an amazing gift as a teacher. He relates well to kids and his love of music shines through. He works hard to provide the individualized attention that my son needs finding out what kind of music he enjoys, and creating challenges for him to rise too. His teaching books and website provide lots of great resources for my son between lessons to practice, and we have been 100% satisfied since starting lessons a year ago. If you are looking for a guitar teacher, you should definitely try here first;)

Great guitar teacher, especially if you're just getting started with the guitar. Mike cultivates an environment that allows for learning without putting overdue stress on the student. He has put together a thoughtfull program to guide you to not just learn how to play the guitar, but to understand music and the theories that are fundamental to being able to understand and excel in making music.

I haven't taken music lessons in years and had never tried the guitar, but Mike's patience and good nature make the learning process easy. I especially like the time he takes to explain the concepts behind what he's teaching. He really knows a lot about the instrument and music theory, and can show you how it applies across many styles of music.
