I had her as a teacher in 2020, I was 11-12. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had. She teaches with children’s books and puppets, made me cry countless times, made me stop and start over every time I messed up, and if we were doing anything wrong she grabbed my hands aggressively to fix it. I was expected to memorize and perform three pages at 11, after only a few months of classes. She alap allowed the other parents with kids in my class to bring their other small child on several occasions which kept us from focusing at all. Students were expected to answer a question at the end of class for a piece of candy and if the student answered wrong we were sent home with nothing, even if our classmate did get a piece of candy, and for a child, that is very discouraging.
