WoW - If you like Chicago Blues or early rock 'n' roll. please add this to your bucket list. It is a walk into the past. There is a nice introductory speech by the tour guide that will put everything into perspective and then you will get lead thru the building including the actual studio where Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf Etta James and the Rolling Stones made historic music. Plan ahead - call and leave a message a few days before you'd like to go. You will end up in a nice small group of music lovers enjoying the tour together. Iconic!

This is a pilgrimage every music lover should make. Our guide was an incredible host and champion for this storied landmark. To visit the studio where 'Johnny be Good,' 'At Last, and the likes of Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Bo Diddley recorded was a dream come true. I can't believe gangster and architecture tours get more attention than this 'Home of the Blues.'

It's very difficult to review such an iconic place such as Chess Records. From the moment you go in you can feel the energy of the building and almost hear the music coming out of the walls right at you. Whether it's Muddy, Willie, Buddy, The Rolling Stones Etta James or the Great Willie Dixon they've all passed through here. Janine, who gives the tour, clearly loves her job and is a part of the fabric of the building. She is a fountain of knowledge and very pleasant to talk with. She has put her heart and soul into Chess and I really hope that it continues to be successful for her and and everyone connected. If you don't visit then you haven't really been to Chicago.
