I purchased a recording of the 2021 New York Conference All State. I was very excited to have a former student performing in the band. Having been at the dress rehearsal in the hall, the ensemble sounded fantastic! Fast forward six weeks later to when I receive my download. Upon first review I struggled to pick out my student. Across 30 minutes of music, I only found his face twice. The video was quite frankly hard to watch because the primary motion was zoom in/out. Why not pan so we see everyone who is there in the section/band? I also take issue with the sound. For an ensemble having the best student musicians in the state, so much expression is lost on this recording. For example, when trumpets are articulating accented notes, it sounds like wah-wah. After 3 months we are still waiting for our video from the Florida All-State Band performances. I have sent emails and all I receive in return are automatic computer responses.

Went on a tour of the studio & it was very intriguing. The music industry is a very interesting field. I was amazed at the equipment in the recording studio.
