★ 5 · cindy whispellChris is an amazing teacher! He has tremendous knowledge of music, music theory and is incredibly talented himself! He can add spice to already skilled or seasoned guitarists, but what was the most appealing to me was his infinite patience when dealing with a beginner. And believe me, he is very patient and non judgmental! Chris wants you to get 100% out of a lesson, so he puts a lot of thought into how to make that happen with his individualized teachings. You can tell he really cares! I would highly recommend Chris to anyone on any level! He’s a great guy too! I feel lucky to have found him for my son!

★ 5 · J.J. ReedChris Mahoney is the most professional outstanding guitarist in the Hudson Valley. Chris can parlay his talent and ability to teaching like no one I have encountered before. Not everyone can be an exceptional player AND teacher, but Chris has a way of doing both. In his lessons, he delivers information that is important and relevant to you. He always takes what your needs are into consideration and devises lesson plans around that. Even if you don’t know exactly what you want to work on or need (especially for beginners), he will find a way for you to develop and hone your skills. I have had a multitude of teachers throughout my life and even in college while getting my bachelor’s degree in music, but I will say Chris’s method and delivery of information on how to master your instrum

It can’t be overstated how great of a player and teacher he is, and without regard to what style of music you like, what you want to learn or what your skill level is. The studio is an ideal environment in which to focus on music. It is an absolute joy to study with Chris!
