Maurice always seems to know exactly what you need to know or work on next to get you over each hurdle in your playing, usually before you even know it's a hurdle. I used to be a student of Maurice Arenas in 2017 and I took lessons up until 2019. He has been a great mentor and even though I have not taken lessons with him in a long time, he has always been there to help me further my music career even after working under him. His lessons are genuinely the best I have ever taken and if you desire to be a music educator, he will make an impact on your teaching philosophies and practices. Maurice has a great mind for music, has a good ear when it comes to songwriting, and there is no genre that he could not help you excel in. I recommend him to anyone that asks about where I took lessons and ever since I left, I have not had the same level of satisfaction that I had while under his academy.

I've had guitar lessons with Maurice for over 4 years and he is the best teacher I've ever had. I came to him, years ago, in need of help for an audition and since then, he has helped me get into two music schools. He has broadened my knowledge of music and guitar in so many ways and he explains everything in a way that I can understand. I highly recommend!
