I started violin/fiddle lessons about 5 years ago with Mark Davis. It was a great choice. Mark is a master of string instruments and he teaches a variety. His knowledge of the history of music adds an additional dimension of interest. I am retired now and always wanted to learn violin. Though he generally teaches much younger students who can learn much more easily, he is very patient with me.

A great space and community for students of all ages in the Fredericksburg area to grow as musicians and performers. The Sound Post has an awesome team of teachers who have decades of performing and teaching experience. 100% would recommend!

This is an excellent space for musicians to practice or take lessons. As a parent of young musicians, I appreciate how accommodating it is for observers. The studio offers comfortable seating, a coffee station, and convenient parking. It’s also a great place to catch up on emails, get some work done, or simply relax and enjoy the music. We love coming here every week!
